"Cody knows his stuff and the tools he works with provide an excellent insight into pedaling efficiency. Looking forward to feeling the effects of our position ‘tweaking

Alex Stieda - Tour de France Yellow Jersey/Olympian.

Bike fitting at my studio includes a dynamic cycling assessment of you, both on and off your bike. Through mobility and structural assessments, I ensure that you are getting the best possible riding position based on how you’re built and how you ride. Each bike fit session is tailored to the individual based on their history, goals, and physical limitations. Our Edmonton bike fit studio has state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies.

Cyclists are asymmetrical/adjustable and the relationship between them and they're symmetrical/adjustable is often overlooked. Flexion Bike Fit provides a professional bike fit service to cyclists in Alberta at all levels, whether you are a commuter, endurance racer, triathlete, or river valley mountain biking beast.

A proper on-bike position has four major benefits:

  1. Increased Comfort

  2. Improved Efficiency

  3. Elevated Performance

  4. Injury Prevention

I strive to provide a high-quality service that, in effect, reduces or removes many of the challenges to your position that you hold on a bike. This allows you to train to achieve as close as is possible to ideal neural and biomechanical performance as possible for you.

Many of our clients have reported that even several micro-adjustments have generated a positive impact on performance. Let Flexion Bike Fit take the guesswork out of "How should I set up my bike?".

Any minor adjustments required after your session are complimentary.

For Flexion Bike Fit, the fit process is a journey, not an event.

Comfort Focused. Movement Inspired. Service Driven.

PERFORMANCE

YOUR BIKE FIT WILL INCLUDE:

Pre-Fit Interview

  • By learning your injury and riding history, I can anticipate issues that will affect your positioning on the bike and the adjustments that will be potentially required.

Structural Exam, Flexibility, and Foot/Ankle Assessment

  • We will complete a series of evaluations to create an accurate picture of your flexibility, range of motion, and other physical attributes that will determine your final riding position.

Cleat Adjustment

  • An extensive foot assessment will determine the potential need for adjustments such as cleat fore/aft, medial/lateral, internal/external rotation, fore-foot varus wedging, and shimming for leg length differences.

Engine Room and Cockpit Adjustments

  • There is an optimal window that's both powerful and comfortable, and will optimize aerodynamics, speed, and comfort. This includes adjustments to the saddle/seat post relationship to the bottom bracket and stem/handlebar relationship to the saddle. We want to maximize your pelvic stability for both power and breathing efficiency.

Corrections for Hip, Knee, Foot Alignment

  • How you sit on the saddle is very important for balanced power delivery and injury prevention. The foot is most often in a fixed position, while pelvis may be compensating for asymmetries, it is therefore, that the knee follows the foot and hip during the pedal stroke.

Follow-up sessions

  • I will contact you periodically to discuss the effectiveness of the adjustments and answer any other questions or concerns you may have.
